One still.
Four titles.
Name the movie.

Movie Quiz drops you into a single scene from a real film and gives you four possible titles. Pick the right one before the timer hits zero — and keep your run alive. Free, ad-free, and available in 15 languages.

Two players

Pass the phone, settle it

Hot-seat mode pits two players head-to-head on one device. Each player gets their own lives, their own score, and their own questions — last one standing wins. Perfect for movie night, or settling who really knows their cinema.

  • Separate lives, scores, and questions
  • One device — no setup, no accounts
  • Winner-takes-all comparison at the end
How it plays

Three taps to a streak

  1. See a still

One approved frame from a real movie appears — no titles, no hints, just the shot.

  2. Pick a title

Choose from four possible titles before the countdown hits zero.

  3. Survive

Right answers keep your run alive; a wrong one or a timeout costs a life. How far can you go?

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is Movie Quiz free?

Yes — completely free. No ads, no subscription, and no in-app purchases. You can play every mode without paying anything.

How do I sign in?

With just your email. We send a one-time code, so there's no password to create or remember.

Does it have ads?

No. There's no advertising anywhere in the app, and no tracking.

Can I play with a friend?

Yes — local two-player passes the phone back and forth. Each player gets their own lives, score, and questions, and the last one standing wins.

What languages does it support?

The app is available in 15 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese (BR), Turkish, Hindi, Russian, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Indonesian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Ukrainian. Movie titles are localized in six of those.

How does scoring work?

You start with three lives. Each correct answer adds to your score; a wrong answer or a timeout costs a life. When your lives run out the game ends. Compete on two leaderboards — Total score and Best game.
